SSAB Zero Colour-Coated Steel
The same GreenCoat colour coating on SSAB Zero — steel made from recycled scrap in electric furnaces run on fossil-free electricity — declared at 1.1 kgCO2e/kg against 2.49 for the blast-furnace product. That 56% cut is the largest single carbon decision available in a coated-steel specification, and it needs no change to profile, coating, colour or performance: the declarations differ only in substrate. Module D’s recycling credit is correspondingly smaller (−0.2 vs −1.49) because recycled content is already counted in production.
