Thermowood Cladding

Planed Nordic pine and spruce modified at 212 °C in Lunawood’s Finnish mills — the Thermo-D class, where durability rather than stability is the target. Supplied uncoated and designed to be left that way: Lunawood’s case is that a board needing no surface coating in a Nordic climate is the sustainable choice over its whole life, not just at the factory gate. It silvers evenly if left alone.

That store is not permanent: the same EPD declares C3 = +703 kgCO2e when the boards are processed at end of life, so cradle-to-grave is close to neutral rather than strongly negative.
