Lignacrete 10.4N Solid

The 10.4 N/mm² version of the dense solid block, for higher loading. Going up a strength class costs 2.6 kgCO₂e/m² over the 7.3 N block — 17% more — because the strength comes from cement content. Specifying strength you do not need is one of the quieter carbon decisions in a masonry package.

Lignacite

Recorded Carbon Result

18.3kgCO₂e/m²

A1–A3 GWP-total per m² of 100 mm wall (190.47 kg). Essentially all fossil; this block holds no meaningful biogenic carbon. Carbonation adds a further declared -0.927 in use (B1).

Indicator: GWP-total

Lignacrete 10.4N Solid (HUB-0148)

A1–A3 covers raw-material supply, transport to manufacture and manufacturing. It is product-stage information, not a whole-life result.

* A4/A5 are EPD scenarios, not project-specific results. Module D is outside the A–C system boundary and is not added to A–C. Module nomenclature follows BS EN 15978 / EN 15804. Declared values are suitable as inputs to a whole life carbon assessment under the RICS Professional Standard (2nd edition); this panel is not an assessment.

Service Life — the B4 Replacement Input

100 years · EPD reference service life

The declaration states a 100-year reference service life.

≈1 installation over a 60-year building study period.

B4 (replacement) follows the building, not the product: an assessor multiplies replacement cycles by project quantities. This record supplies the service life and does not compute B4.
