Supreme Standard Floor Beam
A prestressed concrete beam for beam-and-block ground floors — the ordinary suspended floor of UK housebuilding, laid at centres to suit the span and infilled with blocks. Standard beam, 155 mm. Made by Supreme Concrete Ltd, a trading entity within the Ibstock group. Its declaration puts production at 238 kgCO2e per tonne, and the interesting part is where that sits: almost all of it is A3 (220), the casting and steam-curing, rather than raw material supply — which is where a low-carbon binder would bite.

Carbon and evidence
Product Evidence
Evidence currently held for the Ibstock product record.
Recorded Carbon Result
A1–A3 GWP-total per tonne of beam (HUB-1413). The declaration is per 1 kg; this is an exact ×1000 conversion. A3 alone is 220 — casting and curing dominate, not raw materials.
Indicator: GWP-total
Supreme Standard Floor Beam (HUB-1413)A1–A3 covers raw-material supply, transport to manufacture and manufacturing. It is product-stage information, not a whole-life result.
