Dreadnought Handmade Classic Plain Tile
Dreadnought’s handmade Classic range in six colours, including Classic Bronze, the natural unblended clay colour. Specified for conservation and heritage work, and for new roofs wanting the depth and irregularity of a handmade tile. Dreadnought’s colours come from the mineral content of the Etruria Marl clay and from control of the kiln atmosphere rather than applied stains or coloured sands, so the colour is through the body and does not fade.

Carbon and evidence
Product Evidence
Evidence currently held for the Dreadnought Tiles product record.
Recorded Carbon Result
A1–A3 GWP-FOSSIL per tonne of clay product. The declaration also prints a GWP-total of 6.67, which is not recorded because it is physically impossible — its −176 biogenic credit is five orders of magnitude larger than the packaging carbon the declaration itself reports. Note too that this is a works-wide figure covering bricks, pavers and quarry tiles as well as roof tiles, not a roof-tile-specific one.
Indicator: GWP-fossil
Staffordshire Etruria Marl Clay Brick, Paving & Roofing Products (HUB-6362)A1–A3 covers raw-material supply, transport to manufacture and manufacturing. It is product-stage information, not a whole-life result.

A WIDE grouped declaration: it covers Dreadnought Tiles AND Ketley Brick, spanning Class A engineering bricks, clay pavers, quarry tiles, clay roof tiles with fittings (BS EN 1304), brick slips and special shapes. The declaration's stated rationale is that "the environmental impacts per tonne are identical regardless of the final shape or size", so this is NOT a roof-tile-specific figure — it is one number for the whole works output. Manufacturer of record: Hinton Perry & Davenhill Ltd.
